6:00 AM – Rise and Shine
Another chilly morning in Centennial as I grab my first cup of coffee. Working at Gustafson Heating & Air Conditioning means early starts, especially during the peak winter season when furnace troubles can leave families in the cold.
7:00 AM – First Call
Today’s first stop is in Highlands Ranch, where a homeowner reported their heating system making unusual noises. In this business, strange sounds usually mean something needs immediate attention. After a thorough inspection, I found a worn-out blower motor bearing – a common issue this time of year.
10:30 AM – Emergency Call
While heading to a scheduled maintenance in Littleton, dispatch redirects me to Englewood for an urgent furnace repair. An elderly couple’s heating system completely stopped working overnight. These are the calls that remind me why I love this job – helping people stay warm and safe.
1:00 PM – Lunch Break
Quick lunch in Wheat Ridge before my afternoon appointments. I use this time to review the remaining service calls and check inventory in my truck.
2:00 PM – New Installation
The afternoon takes me to Arvada for a new heater installation. Working with modern, efficient systems is always exciting, knowing homeowners will see significant improvements in both comfort and energy bills.
Daily Essentials:

5:30 PM – Wrapping Up
As the sun sets over the Front Range, I complete my final service call in Centennial. Being an HVAC technician means every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable, no matter what Colorado weather throws at us.
Remember, routine maintenance prevents most heating emergencies. It’s satisfying knowing we’re helping keep Colorado homes warm and energy-efficient, one service call at a time.
